English Heritage Mead: Range & Where to Buy
![]()
English Heritage mead is a range of branded honey wines associated with English historic sites and gift shops. Several have been produced for English Heritage by Lyme Bay Winery, one of the UK’s largest mead producers.
The range has included traditional, spiced and flavoured meads. Availability changes, and some of the bottles in our catalogue may now be discontinued or sold only at particular English Heritage sites.
English Heritage meads in our catalogue
- English Heritage - Heritage Mead — a traditional-style branded mead made by Lyme Bay Winery.
- English Heritage Stonehenge Mead — produced by Lyme Bay Winery for English Heritage and branded for Stonehenge.
- English Heritage Christmas Mead — a seasonal spiced mead that appears to be related to Lyme Bay Christmas Mead.
- English Heritage Banquet Mead — another traditional English Heritage bottling.
- English Heritage Ginger Mead — a warming ginger-flavoured style.
- Garden Mint Mead — a sweeter flavoured mead with mint notes.
Who makes English Heritage mead?
The English Heritage name is the brand on the bottle rather than necessarily the producer. Product pages and labels have identified Lyme Bay Winery in Devon as the producer of several English Heritage meads. Recipes and availability can change, so check the bottle if you are looking for a specific version.
Where to buy English Heritage mead
Availability checked: October 2026.
English Heritage’s online shop is temporarily closed. Its official online-shop FAQ says that shops at individual sites may still stock products, although ranges vary by location.
If the branded bottle is unavailable, browse Lyme Bay Winery’s current mead range for the producer’s own traditional and flavoured meads. Lyme Bay Traditional Mead is a sensible starting point if you want a rich, sweet English honey wine.
Check availability before making a special journey to a site shop.
